The Elsie Dot Super Fun Day has two aims. Firstly, to raise some money for the charitable trust set up as a legacy for Elsie – Elsie’s Story. The Trust has been established with the principle objective being to make grants to causes in Elsie’s name, the focus of which will be assistance to young people and support for others in the community.  

As a secondary aim we wanted to provide a day for Farnborough children to simply have fun and mark the end of the year.  The year has been challenging for staff, parents and children at Farnborough.  Unprecedented times have called for unprecedented actions and the staff of Farnborough have gone above and beyond for our children time and time again. 

And so – the Elsie Dot Super Fun Day was created.  The event is due to take place on Mon 21 Jul at Southport Rugby Club from 1530-1930.  We already have a range of organisations, teams, clubs and small businesses that have offered their services on the day ranging from children’s entertainers to face painters and cake makers.  We have also been delighted to receive assistance from some local businesses to support the event financially.  The less we have to pay for activities on the day, the greater the sum that will be raised for Elsie’s Story. 

This will be a ticketed event with initial numbers for sale being 250.  We aim to have people pay for as little as possible on the day, so the vast majority of activities will be free for your children (and you) to enjoy. Some of the people who have offered to join us on the day will be selling their goods but will themselves to making a contribution to the charity and offering the opportunity for people to also donate at their stall.
